Here is a list of the volunteer services that I am currently, or have previously been, involved with.
Age Concern has worked to promote the rights, wellbeing and quality of life of older people, koroua and kuia since 1948. As knowledge and experience has grown, Age Concern now has the wider purpose of promoting healthy, active ageing to people of all ages.
New Zealand Blood Service (NZBS) was created on 1 July 1998 to ensure the supply of safe blood products. NZBS takes the responsibility for the development of an integrated national blood transfusion process from the collection of blood from volunteer donors to the transfusion of blood products within the hospital environment – a ‘vein to vein’ transfusion service.
The Cats Protection League (Wgtn) Inc. was founded in 1982 by Catherine de la Roche, and was amongst the first purely voluntary New Zealand charities devoted solely to the welfare of cats.
